Coming soon to David Z. we have the final chapter in the Timberland 40th Anniversary Collection, The Super Boot aka the 40 Belows. This is a legendary, and oldest boot in the collection making its 40th anniversary apperance in Brown and Black colorways. These boots were originally constructed to be the most durable boot Timberland had ever made, built to withstand the elements from the rough terrain in Alaska. The design has not changed since the original but the sole has been updated to a Vibram sole, the insulation has been upgraded to 200 grams of PrimaLoft, and numbered out of a total 1,973.
The boots claim to fame however was due Bishop (Tupac Shakur) from the movie Juice. This made the Super boot an instant hood classic. Usually worn halfway laced the boot was often spoted on a city street rather than the rugged woodlands. The streets is also where the nickname 40 Belows was born, right here in NYC.
To claim your pair head over to David Z Soho at 556 Broadway on Saturday Nov. 23rd. Get their early, because quantities are limited and these boots won’t last long.
